If it's solid, use an aquarium net. If not, Do you have an old turkey baster (you can always get a new one at Thanksgiving)? Another option is a piece of tubing - like for an air pump if you have one of these. It just needs to be a little more than twice as long as the tank is tall. Fill it with water from the tap and put both thumbs over the ends. Put a container (bucket) under the tank, put one end in the tank and take your thumbs off. As long as the end outside the tank is lower than the end in the tank, water (and the food) will flow out into the bucket. NOTE: Make sure the tubing is wide enough that the food doesn't get stuck!

Well it depends on the kind of food and the size of the tank, substrate etc. I'll assume that you mean the usual small tank for bettas. In that case get one of the clear plastic pipes, you know the one they attach to an airstone, and use it as a siphon. Otherwise you can put a piece of filter wool at the bottom to catch the food, remove the betta and lift it up.

fristly try feeding your betta less, feed only enough for the fish to consume within 5 minutes. Use a siphon to get debris off the bottom of the tank without dusturbing the plants and your pets much.

Hi...Betta's can live up to nine years if you don't over feed them. You only need to give them three grains about every three days...or close to that. To clean the bowl...take a cup or glass that is well rinsed and put water to a close temp as its bowl...net him out and put him in the glass. Then well rinse his bowl out using plain tap water and (you can use gloves if you want) or as my daughter does bare hands...swish the rocks, glass, or shells ... whatever is in the bottom...to stir the food and fish waste and rinse several times. Then just put the water close to the same temp as it was. To cold and he will stay on the bottom and to hot ...you will fry him. Just a luke warm works. Don't do any additives ... they breath by taking air bubbles from the top of the bowl...so leave room for air.

I have a small tank so I just use a straw.

Hold it over the piece of food. Put your finger over the opening, then pull the straw out & shake over the trash.

grow up, the term is water, not wawa, there's adults here. and you are overfeeding, every single bit of food that sinks is too much food, why isn't this obvious to you? your tank will be easier to take care of when you stop overfeeding so much.

depends on the size of your tank. i recommend you feed less. my three don't ever have uneaten food because i don't feed them any more than they can eat. remember their stomachs are only the size of their eye ball.

turkey basters work well

firstly if there is food lying on the tank floor you are feeding him too much.

to clean out the gravel of poop, get a syphon from your local petshop. its a long tube that you sift thru the gravel with, it will pump out the poop.
