I'm 19 years old and want to get out?

I'm 19 years old and live in a small town. How can I get out of this bum-f**k town and go somewhere that I can be happy? I have a car but no money. I know people of my age suffer from the depression that I do, but I think if I can get out of this small town in MS that I will be happier. Can you help me?

Apply to colleges In the places you would most like to go. You can get loans to help pay for school and you can live on campus.

You are not only preparing for your future, you are also going to have the experience of being on your own. with out having the full stress of it.

You will always have somewhere to go and something to do.

If college is not something you want to do then get a job start saving up money and then look for a job in the area in which you would like to go. A lot of places have on line services where you can literally fill out apps on line. Contact a real estate agent in the area you would like to move to have them looking for a place for you to rent. If you have a good friend who would like to move off also, Room mate with each other and split the expenses 50 50.

You can do it, A person can normally do anything they set their mind to. It wont be easy, but it most definitely is very possible

Well, first thing to figure out is where you want to go and what you want to do when you get there. You need money to move, but what you really need is job skills and a job when you get there. First thing to do is get a job where you are at. Start earning money, and decide where you want to live and what kind of job you want to have. If you want a career which requires education or skills (i.e. probably pays more money) you will have to go to school. If you have no money, apply for grants, scholarships, financial aid, and keep your job through school. If you are less interested in a job requiring education or skills, then apply for jobs wherever you want to go while you make money for the move. Sure it takes a while, but this is the ONLY way to do this if you want to stick it out long-term. Good luck.

Set a goal for yourself - work at a job in your town for 6 months or whatever, save your money, and then move somewhere else (see if you can find a job there first).

If you know you are working towards this, it can help you concentrate on your goal, and not your unhappiness - be happy that you are going to meet your goal of moving on!

get a job and save your money so you can move out and on. you will need several thousands, because you will need this money to buy furniture and house wares, along with paying rent, make sure b4 you move that you already have a Job waiting for you. When you are looking for apartments....make sure that you look during the weekends when ppl are at home so that you can make sure that you will be living in a safe neighborhood, and you can find this out by looking on the weekends when families are home, and are outside during the day.
