neither as it does not represent everyday life for the majority of people. It is either romanticized, or sex is made to look like it holds a relationship together, when all it is fiction, Sex can be great in a relationship but there is more to it than that. Seinfeld is funny but not everyone has a life like that...

I preferred Friends.....I liked to watch Seinfeld. Just thought there more talented actors/actresses in Friends and it was funnier.

while there is no general description that applies to all, i would say both shows represent some of the young, single people , Seinfield was also about a group of friends
