Is the student affiliated with an exchange student program? If so, that's part of what the student paid for.

Or, the thought occurs to me that YOU are someone with an organization and looking for ideas on how to obtain host families.

If the student is NOT affiliated with an exchange organization and is not a friend or relative, quite frankly, I'd not recommend a family do it.

It is very hard to find Host families, I don't know why when the experience is so Great! Some things I use are to look at the interest and contact all things related, ie: soccer coach, soccer clubs, soccer stores and so on. Churches and Youth groups are a good place and so are teachers and PTAs. Good luck

The school, where he will be, could give you the information, and if there is an university in the city, you can contact them and ask for agencies, which arrange this kind of contacts.

The Rotary and Lions Clubs, sometimes have interchange programs active and could offer this for their members, no members.

Normally the organization sponsoring the exchange would do this.
