I'm only 18 so I'm fairly new to driving, but I find it very hard to adjust from driving on a highway for more than 15-20 mins at 65-70 and then get off at the exit and only do 35-45...I'm so used to going quick that I feel like I'm walking in slow mud when I go the speed limit on whichever local road I'm on..is this normal? What do YOU do to adjust yourself? Thanks.

This is normal,

You HAVE to adjust yourself because THESE are the places where the Motorcycle cops hang out...

and wait for someone to forget to pay attention to the slower speed limit!

It does feel slow, its a part of driving life.

Yes. This is normal with many drivers, myself included. I tend to become wound up when I am driving faster, watching the road very carefully, but very rapidly also, because of the speed I am driving. But when I change to an off-road, to where the speed limit is much lower, it DOES take a little adjusting to get used to the slower speed. Especially since I have just been used to taking everything around me in at a much faster rate as well. When I am going slower again, I am still "geared up" for the higher speeds. It is just something you have to get used to. Try to slow your mind down some also, & it will help.
