Whats the question?

Perth Western Australia, close to where I live has water shortage now. They wanted to take the water from the Yarrigidee, a huge under water aquifer, from us (in the south west, about 300kms south of Perth) and pump it through to perth.

This idea, quite frankly sucked and would have ended up draining all the life from our forrests and all the water from our dams and river systems.

So, we fought it. We fought the government. We won, for now at least. The australian government is now going to be building a desalination plant rather than give the city our water and drain our life. The original yarrigadee plan has ben 'shelved' for now, so we have had a small win.

Its important to remember that during times of water shortage there is no less water on earth than what there was when the dinosaurs were alive... its just been distributed differently.

One of the biggest problems causing the water shortage
is PEOPLE
People are 70% water
the more we make the more water gets held in a body
and removed from the enviromental water system

People also ruin water soaps detergeants and other pollutants make the water unfit to drink. The shortage
is due to the cost to clean the water so its drinkable again.

Climate changes are also causing problems.
When the Pyramids were built the area was fertile
and green . Today its sand and dry.

Roll the dice; your guess is as good as anyone's ... It's a question of what "variables" come into play- where.
