Peavy for the NL that's easy. But for the AL, I do really like Beckett and would like to see him get the nod, but Dan Haren has been the best overall pitcher in the first half.

Dan Haren 9-2, 89 K's, 1.74 ERA

Haren and Peavy without a doubt!!! If they decide to blow it than Penny, Young NL and Lackey, Verlander and Beckett AL are close!!!

good choices usually depends on the closest day to the All Star Game. They do not like to pitch a star if it is his rest day. The Sunday before the break also has a lot to do with game day decision.
But honestly, the home run derby is more interesting that the all star game.
The year they let it end in a tie was such a disappointment.
I may watch the introudctions and turn it off.
