It may be love, but most likely it isn't the type of love you want. If they are marrying somebody else, it is indeed because they are not in love with you. Respect is a good thing, but romantic feelings is a must in marriage. When you find the right person and the feelings are there, that is when marriage should be on your mind. Marrying somebody that just isn't that into you will backfire and end badly. Save your time, energy and emotions for somebody that deserves them.

Well i cant see how you think they are respecting you, or loving you unconditionally loving you....If they did, they wouldn't be cheating on you...You need to take some time off from relationships to think about what you really want...Also think about the type of guys your dating...Your falling into a pattern, your dating the same type of guy over and over again...

I dont think it is an oxymoron. You explicitly said they end up loving and respecting you. This suggests to me that it is after a break-up. If I am right it is clear that they will respect your standards although they necessarily cannot live with them. Certainly not after they know their secrets.

Well, if you go to bars, you expect to find playboys. It depends on the environment and how you make yourself available. A church environment would be conducive to people who uphold high standards and expect similar from others. You would not be under pressure to "date" and can therefore take more time to know people better in neutral settings.

Wait. They respect you and love you unconditionally, but won't commit AND cheat on you? You win the "Best Oxymoron" award!

Might need to change your 'type' of guy? Do you have a type of guy you usually date? Bad boy, business dude, work out junkie? Whatever it is, switch it up and try something different, hopefully with a different outcome.
