Africans going back and mating with chimps.?

after being humans for millions of years. i read this. is this true. really?a black comedian was joking about it. on tv.

i heard this on the news,that in th dna record we were humans for millions of years then a few male humans went and mated back with chimps .somehow they could tell by the dna .and i was wondering about this

It is a study suggesting that there is evidence of an ancestor crossing with a chimp ancestor maybe 4 million years ago. They probably have some evidence that two populations were separated for a long time and mated because they have a distribution of gene ages that suggest this. They are also uncomfortable with recent evidence suggesting the likely existence of an upright, possibly bipedal ancestor of humans and chimps. They don't wish to set aside the notion that humans evolved from knucklewalkers even when the new evidence strongly suggests that chimps may have evolved from bipeds. If you have our ancestor crossing with a chimp ancestor, the chimp could have some of our DNA like the mitochondria from a hybrid cross. That could make the ancestor precede the biped and preserve the orthodoxy. It seems a ridiculous stretch and the anomaly is likely caused by two separate populations merging after a very long separation.
