Well when I actually have someone to talk to over the phone at night, it would probably be my good coworker friend... and we usually end it with "night night"! I think I'd normally say good night, but with my friend I've gotten into say the other. When my younger brother in NYC calls me, we end it with "peace".

Any one!!! They are all correct and can be used in just about any situation. None are rude either. Although say "night night" to a person you know very well. Usually i say good night.
