Not to sound conceited, but yes, on several occasions. When I was a sophomore in HS, my health teacher called me up to her desk one day to tell me that she thought I was a beautiful, brilliant young lady and to never forget that. At the time, no one else had ever said anything like that to me before. I didn't know how to react to it, and I just said thank you. Since then, other people have pointed out to me that they think I am the coolest person ever. And it's nice, but sometimes it is just hard for me to believe it.
But it's getting easier. I am quite wonderful!

I rarely if ever heard it from someone...but one day when I was working , an older man , around late 70's, tapped on my window (I was a teller at a bank) , and said....excuse me...I just want to tell you that you are one of the prettiest young ladies I've seen , I hope your husband knows what he has...then he walked away....I actually had a few tears , it was sweet.

Older people are the only ones who seem to tell me this.
I am convinced that this is either because:
a.) They are judging me based on an old standard of beauty that obviously does apply today.
-or-
b.) They are losing their eyesight.

Yeah...my husband does a lot! I love to hear it even though I know he says it all the time to me! Always feels great to hear it said.
