After being married to a man 12 years older for 20 years, in the end I can honestly say that it does matter!

Yes there are times when age matters like being old enough to drive or vote.

By all means...
Actually, it could happen sometimes that youngsters carry a bigger age than theirs and therefore are felt much welcomed by the elderly...
Likewise, it is up to the elderly to understand the youngsters and get along with their age to appreciate all they say & do...
In all cases, age matters like in the above said and in many other instances, needless to mention now.

sometime it does matter but not always. my dad is 9 years older then my mom. my aunt married a man who is 25 years older then her and they have been married for 23 years and are still happy. ive dated a guy who was 8 years older then me and it was the best relationship i have had. it all depends on the ppl. and if they can handle it. also if we are talking about someone who is like 13 and someone who is 25 then it does matter. they have to both understand the relationship and be able to judge it well.

I just read a bout a 40 year old coach marrying his 16 year old student - in that regards - age does matter!
As long as their adults and get along fine, I say go for it!

Depends on how old you are........if you are 13 and want to date a 40 year old, then yes it really matters. Otherwise, as adults, I think you are as old as you feel. Numbers are only important for lottery winners!

I dunno I dont really think so.... but then again it always mattered when it came to my lil sis with any guy trying to get w/ her... i never would allow more than a 2 yrs older than her... W/ me and other people I think as long as ur of age then everything is all good ya know?

just because you reach legal age to vote or date,doesn't mean your old enough to make wise choices,and just because you have been around the block a few times doesn't make you wiser,its how well you deal with life's issues that make you wise,so i think age is a mental awareness that you can learn from,your as old as your actions/wisdom...i would say yes...
