Well, I'm looking at this one laptop that you can find on samsclub.com, but its cheap, its almost too cheap to be true. Its a compaq and it has an AMD Turion X2 TL-56 processor, 1 gb memory, 120 gb hard drive, and it seems like theres nothing wrong with it, but its only 634 dollars.... see for urself, the link is.. http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?catg=535&item=372201&prDeTab=2&pCatg=5680#A ... please go check it out.. i mean i do not see anything that is wrong with the laptop, and yet its way too cheap to be true. please tell me what is wrong with this laptop (i mean what is wrong with it, since its so cheap), and whether or not i should buy it.

Sams club is part of Walmart, and they need shelf space because they are carrying Dell now.

It's true a lot of the laptops you see are $1000 and up, but those are mainly either gaming or business computers. This is a good computer for like the Internet and not very graphics-intensive games, because that's the only thing it lacks is a good GPU (graphics processing unit). Looking at that computer I did some comparison shopping and found that to be the best computer for under $800. In fact I'd been looking at getting that same computer in a few weeks lol. There's some people below commenting that AMD processors are worse then Intels and I'd agree, but there's nothing wrong with an AMD.

no its good, the only problem is that it has a stupid and slow AMD processor, but it will not matter 2 u prbly. its a rly good system 4 the money, n the processor is not rly bad but any intel processor is better. go for it

thats normal because its a american site. in america thats what you get for those sort of prices. Also us Us dollar is stronger then the au dollar so its as cheap as it seems when converted.
check out this website below, they have the cheapest prices i have seen so far, and i know their real because i been to one of there stores in melbourne.

I can tell from your writing that you haven't bought a laptop before, this is average price for the average laptop

It's not "too good to be true" cheap. It's a pretty decent deal, but it's not unheard of.
