Words would still be used in telepathy because words and language organizes our thinking making it easier to understand and remember.
But they probably would be used less and you would see more pictures from the other persons mind as well as words.

Even so, words have there place, for instance you know what YOU'RE thinking? then why do we need to talk to ourselves?

words are beautiful, telepathy is the hard truth, I myself prefer the ART and beauty of words

telepathy has many outlets, one of them is feelings
If we all felt something
but said something completely different (which is what most people do , everyday)
then everyone would be more confused, thats what I think

Methinks you're confusing telepathy with verbal communication; even if non-verbal physical communication was the order of the day, it still relies on 'words' to 'communicate' with...

but you already read my mind and knew i was going to say this anyway, right?! so didn't want to disappoint you, eh?!

Thats deep.
Thought is universal.
If we were all telepathic we wouldnt need words, languages writing or Yahoo Answers.

Probably...like instant messaging, posting and email..instead of talking on the phone or sending a letter via snail mail..those things seem to have become preferences...so, yes, probably.

Words would be pointless. People can communicate more and be more abstract in their expression with telepathy.

Possibly, but really why would anyone waste their time to verbally speak?

words would still be, they would just be silent words...if you're meaning what would happen to speaking, well then I think it would just be a preference yes.

...they would still be words but people will not be talking with their mouths anymore, just through mental telepathy...the world may actually be more peaceful with less noise...lol..
