I was wondering if Blackstone (BX) is a group group to invest in at this moment or will it underperform?

I personally do not plan to buy any. Interest rates are rising and I think the buyout boom will soon be ending. There are also tax proposals in Congress that, if passed, would raise the tax rate on a substantial portion of the income of buyout firms like that from 15% to 35%, which seems like it would result in a significant cut in their profit (and limit the number of deals that they could do profitably).

In other words, I think the party's almost over for the private equity buyout frenzy that's been going on. I also think an overall market correction is starting or coming soon.

This stock has no history. You're looking for investment advise from strangers. You can't know the motives or qualifications of strangers. You call this investing? Sounds like you're betting on a horse and asking someone on a tip line where to place your money.

Good luck with that!

if you are not too spohisticated.. hold off for the moment.

buy when the price goes below 90% of the initial listing price, if you have to buy at all.. the price is going to fall.. market corrections are going to happen.
