They obviously want attention, but all I want to do is yell at them to shut up. Do they not realize that's why people kick their as$es all the time?

Ive noticed it too. My personal favorite is when im in a restaurant and can't hear the conversation at my own table because they are so effing loud.

Um......its not because they want attention. Hav eyou considered how loud it is in public. Everyone ekse is yelling, so you feel like you have to yell in order to be heard. If you cant hear yourself, then most the time you dint think that the person your talking to can hear you. An alot of time people try to talk to people from across the room, which gets obnoctious but Its life and you probably do that to. A lot of times when I'm shoping at Hollister or Abrecrombie, I am talking to the person next to me really loudly but the music is on so high that I don't notice it. And then the music stops to switch to the next song and I find myself yelling. Ughh ssssoooo embarising.

they are know it alls, so they want people to see how intelligent they are. They're probaby immature or uncomfortable with themselves. Still, maybe you also noticed it and let it bother you because you are a little nerdy and or want attention yourself? Yeah and i bet you yourself do alot of annoying stuff too. Be a little more compassionate and try to see it from their point of view?

Nerdy? In my experience, nerds are shy and generally are very quiet. Loud people are usually jocks, Paris Hilton wannabes and other obnoxious *******.

No, I have never noticed that. What I notice is little teenaged girls talking in those loud, squealy voices like " OH MY GAWD" . i'M SURE THEY JUST WANT SOME ATTENTION TOO! Perhaps you could try not listening so hard next time. =)

i'm nerdy and i talk loudly. but not on purpose. why would nerds want attention? that tends to be the annoying popular wannabees. i don;t know where u come from but here thats not how it goes.

No, but I have noticed that people that think they are cool like to criticize others for petty things. They obviously want to reassure themselves that it is alright to consider themselves better.
