yes!! the first time I was alone by myself was like 2 weeks ago - I normally have 7 other people here with me, but I was all alone by myself and it was DARK, we have 2 sets of french doors, it was in a thunder & lightening storm, a tree fell down on my roof and our electric even went out for like a minute, luckily, it came back on pretty quickly, but I was still really scared & I cried. (I am 19 just in case you are like you're just a little whimp") yeah, I am a whimp, but it was really scary!!

Depends on what's going on. If I'm talking to my friends or doing something very entertaining, then no. But if I'm not doing anything, then my mind can ponder the possibilities of what could happen if I'm here alone. Just keep yourself occupied and you'll be fine. & yes, it's normal for any age AND gender. My 17 year old boyfriend made me walk to his house because he was afraid of murderers and such(but he was watching those criminal investigation shows, not such a good idea when you're home alone!)

I used to when I was a kid...

As I reached the age of 16 I started liking the idea of being alone at home...

But of course it takes a(used 2b)Fightened Child to understand Y people are usually frightened when being in an Old, Multi-Windowed, Big & Cold house alone....!!

Best way to kill the fear....Go to each & every window at home, and call them names....

Say HI to each by name moring & night

Get physically close to those Windows..., open them in the morning time and get your head out of those window as applicable...

They will become your friends, and will LISTEN TO U N THE EVENING...

If you approach them, u will see the Moon & some Cluster of stars in really dark nights...

They will tell u secrets of people around,, Indoor as Outdoor..

They are the best to keep your secrets, even if they sound like "Being Scared of Windows"... They will keep such secrets away from people...

Hope u will love your house from now on...

I already like your home for some Poetry to enroll over the SILENCE OF THE NIGHT...

Have a good night / day BB & all...

I am never scared to be alone in the house because I enjoy the peace and quiet. Plus all my kids are gone. so i can do what ever I want. I can also watch tv byself and enjoy a movie or two. Plus you can hear yourself think.

I'm not scared to be alone in my house, but I don't like coming in alone if it's late at night.

No, it doesn't bother me at all. Sometimes though, when it is very quiet (I live in the country) and it's the middle of the night, there are sounds that are eerie. Until I figure out what they are, I get a little tense.
