A lot of people are truly smarter than a 5th grader. However, the reason people don't seem to be as smart (like on the television show) is because the 5th graders have learned it recently. Many adults have more knowledge, but it has been such a long time since it has been learned, nobody can remember the subjects.

My daughter comes home with homework that I have never seen before. I am not sure if I am smarter than a fifth grader but I do have a college degree. I just don't want to get onto live TV and let the world see me.

NO............ or maybe who knows since i don't know all the rivers, or oceans, or all of the countries. That damn show must be like a fake or something, im sure all of the 5th graders memorize it before the show,
