I would go with seasonal. I'm on the pill now and I have the low estergal or something like that but I want to switch to only get my period 4 times a month. My cramps are still so bad even tho it's better then it was before.
Also just FYI for everyone who's saying just don't have sex, The pill also helps with cramps and if you have a heavy flow. I don't know what you are using it for but it has a lot of other benefits to it. You will also be able to know exactly when you start, down to the hour.
EDIT: Talk to your gyno. She will know best. she will know what you want it for and knows your history so she will be able to prescribe what is best for you. Everyone is different
ONE more thing: it depends on you. I like the pill. to me a shot or patch would just be inconvenient

I have endometriosis so I have tried a lot of different types of birth control trying to lessen the pain and bleeding of my periods.
The very best I have found is Seasonale or Seasonique (same drug, different names).
This birth control pill is effective to 90+%(maybe much higher) and you take a pill every day. The best part is that you only have a period every three months. And it really works!
On the shot, the first time i was on it, I had no period. When I went on ot again after I had my daughter, I had a period all of the time.
I have tried just about everything and for me this is by far the best. For someone who doesnt already have a health issue it would probably work even better.
It regulates your period and reduces the intensity of it when you have it every three months.
Good luck, hope it helps!

The pill is reccomended by every doc I've asked (2). Don't use anything that may alter your period and definately read the directions for side affects. I JuST got perscribed YASMIN, the gyno said it was the most popular and had the least cases of side affects.

I will never ever recommend the shot. I was on it for four years and so glad I'm off of it.
I am on Kariva, and I've had zero side affects. I've been on it over a year.

The better methods are either having male or female tubes tied. Norplant and IUDs work well. Check out the site below.
