No! Accidents on well-maintained rides (not side street carnivals) are so few and far between, you're more likely to have something happen to you in the car on the way to and from the park....

We have a similar ride at our nearest amusement park and it will not be shut down. What are the odds that the same thing would happen again? Pretty slim, but I am still never going on that ride again.

I heard about that and it is very unusual and shocking. This wont affect my decision to get on the thrill rides. I will try and be obeservant and as cautious as possible.

It certainly should and most of the amusement park rides are unsafe. Look back at all the accidents in the past few years.

People died in a fire in Jackson, NJ at the Great Adventure many years back A high school prom group. Several children died in a fire at a ghost house.
but people keep going back to these places.
The safety record is awful.

i'm not a thrill rider in general but if i was no it would not affect me..if we stopped doing things because of what happened before and the chance it will happen again,no one would leave their homes

yes, I want to keep my feet, there might be a one in a million chance of that kind of thing happening, but dont forget, other people share your risk, so everytime they get off safe, youve got an even more weighted chance of getting injured or even killed!

Yeah, because you never know when stuff like that will happen. I mean the girl didn't know it was going to happen, and then bam! she lost her feet. Such a horrible thing! :(
