Actually Paradise is Hawaii, but Bali wasn't to far behind until the bombings.

Sorry but there are too many Islamic extremest to be wanting to visit Bali anytime soon.

It amazes me that you guys are thinking of that bombing that happened years ago and saying that it sealed the fate of bali but there have been multiple bombings in Thailand for years and you never hear about it. Bali is the only Island in the Indo chain that is not primarily Muslim and a very great place to visit. The bombing was in one city and the Island is huge with many other places to visit than Kuta Beach. Kuta is just a huge Tourist trap these days. So stop thinking in the past and get with the program. Bali is indeed a paradise don't miss out because of old news.

why is this in the Taiwan thread?

Personally I havn't been yet but i still plan to visit at some point in the next 2 years. I am not a go-go bar patron so I doubt the extremists will have many concerns about me. Of course if things go absolutely ape with daily beheadings, gunfights and that sort of thing, probably I can be convinced to avoid it. But hey, Los Angeles or Miami- probably already worse than Bali, but not many people cancel their vacations to there!

Bali is extremely beautiful, the people are nice, and I had a great time there. It is safe, and I recommend it to everybody.

I do however, have to point out that your "question" seems a lot like solicitation, which is against the YA guidelines.

Whoever blew up that disco in 2002, sealed Bali's fate for quite some time to come... It is a mixed blessing... Now you can get back to making rice terraces, and stop accommodating surfers and soccer teams.
