How to get rid of a now broken microwave , I don,t want to throw it in the land fill.

Call the microwave manufacturer, for proper disposal or give it to salvation army to resell or fix.

Here's a few wild ideas! Remove the motor and electrical parts of it and clean it up really good and make it into a storage container for things like bread and cereal, a place to put your table linens, give it to a kindergarten for their playhouse, put it in your garage to store potting soil to keep it from drying out, the list can go on and on! Use your imagination! I also hate throwing things away and always try to look at it from outside the box for other uses!

You must live in Oregon. Do what the others do; donate it to charity so they have to throw it out.

If you are conscientious, call your waste disposal company and ask who they recommend for hazardous waste removal.

Try an ad on freecycle or Craigslist.
