my sister is going to be in a pageant next weekend and she thinks this dress it cute..

if you, or your sister in this case, has what it takes to win the pageant, then i say go for it. the dress is gorgeous, and that will just add to what she has to offer. honest, i promise

It looks good for a pageant.
It's not too poofy but just because past winners wore poofy dresses doesn't mean your going to win.
It has to look right on you.
It also depends on the pageant, age division, body shape, and skin color.
I'm guessing NAM just by looking at past queens in your other question.
Big dresses do tend to win in divisions younger then teen. I think last year's Oklahoma Jr. Teen winner wore a dress similar to this one

I think it might have a little too much volume to be a pageant dress! Not to mention, it lacks color, so it won't get the judges attention! When I think of pageant, I think of color and sparkle. So, I definitely agree with you! Tell your sister the people of yahoo answers have spoken, and they feel that you are right and she is wrong!lol I hope I helped! ~Peace~

the dress is very pretty but you're right it's not pageant like. usually when i think of something for a pageant i think of it as being nice & sleek & slimming with maybe some nice designs to it that stand out.

Well I've never been to a pageant, but the dress is very nice, but it might be a little too big and fancy if you ask me.

i would choose a more simple dress for a pageant, maybe one that doesnt poof out as much... ;] but idk...her choice.

Pretty... But it would help if you told us what kind of pageant and what category or whatever this is for. I really do like it though. I think the red would be more attractive though.. IDK it just seems more, you know, eye-catching...

I think it's cute, but I don't think it's good for a paegant. She should get something pretty & flirty. Not something that you could wear to a prom =)

I think it looks more like a Princess at a royal wedding if you ask me. But it's really pretty.
