There is no proof to say for certain that aliens exist. At least, no proof that would stand up in court or to the test of science. But is that because we don't know what to look for? Or perhaps because we don't want to know? It would be a great disturbance to our self concept as being unique and special if we were to find out there were creatures similar to us (or with similar capabilities of thought with more advanced technology than ours) elsewhere in this universe.

Think about our limitations. We can hardly get to Mars without taking years and a lot of money to do so. Who is to say that somewhere in this MASSIVE universe of ours that there are not other planets with beings like us with the same problem. Until we can travel the speed of light or better, we aren't going to be doing much exploration beyond our own solar system. Any beings on other planets have similar hurdles to overcome. Perhaps some have (explaining some sightings of UFOs).

So if aliens have been here why then don't they make contact? Some would argue they have. Others might take the stance that they are scientists, (they would have to be to get here, right?) and they are merely observing us out of curiosity. The best observations are when we don't know we're being observed. Another reason they are wise not to contact us- how do you think we would respond if they did? With big guns, tanks, jet aircraft, etc. That's how we like to respond to things we don't understand and that's hardly good encouragement to take the first step.

The milky way- our own galaxy- has millions of stars in it. Billions, perhaps. It only takes one of those to host another planet like ours. And there are more galaxies than just ours with millions to billions more stars. The chances that NONE of those stars have planets orbiting them that can sustain life is (I would think) pretty nil.

We cannot say for certain there are no aliens (which is an entirely relative term) until we can search every last galaxy and solar system (which is far beyond practical). Given that bit of information, I'd say its safest to assume there are others out there and we just haven't met them yet!

The universe is tremendously big and hard to imagine for us living on earth. It is a mystery that most of us wonder why we are here and don't know about the Universe as much as we would like to know. Sometimes it looks like an endless boring journey that may not be worth trying to examine. But curiosity never sleeps. Since the Universe is so vast, there is a good reason to believe the other civilizations can comfortably exist without our polluted planet. It is also unimaginable to think we are alone. The other theory may be that the civilizations are not advanced enough to have developed the tools to reach each other. If that is the case, then it is a matter of time before we encounter a major discovery either by us or them. If any of them detected us and we don't know about it you would always wonder why.

A residing component needs liquid water, capability, and a existence source alongside with a comet. There are planets like Earth which could help existence alongside with Gleise 581g, even though it rather is purely too some distance away for us to do something approximately it. Im particular that there could be existence someplace obtainable in a planet that has liquid water, capability (a solar) and a existence source, if it has that than that's particular there could be existence yet i could think of it does not be from now on than parasites and micro organism. additionally, such as you pronounced, it may choose an environment and a marvelous temparture, if somebody says that there is existence on Mars, It cant be genuine because of fact it doesnt have an atamosphere like Earth's, in fact it basically has a million% of it so existence on Mars isn't able. If the creature isn't some thing small like that, it may choose brains, additionally, atleast considered one of our satelites could have observed it. some type of examining could have been recorded like a severe pitch screech.

Yup they sure do but not on this planet, the exception of course is most of the members of the Houses of Parliament and some of the more outlandish Big Brother contestants.
As to why....the inhabitants of this planet long for something to take their minds off their current woes and ANYTHING will do, if it comes with a red top daily newspaper endorsement so much the better.
We are all aliens originaly, we all come from dust and gas that made up the stars after they went supernova.
I can't wait to go back..........

Sure people believe it. They like the idea that they're not alone in the universe, that maybe someone out there understands them, cos nobody on this hunk of rock seems to.

That might be a little too psychoanalytical for some people so here are a few more explanations with their causes.

People are sick of Earth and want to be carried off to a better planet. (Cause everyone who runs things are idiots.)

People want to be the first to have sex with an alien (too much star trek.)

People want attention (cause nobody want to hear what other people have to say really, they just want people to hear what they have to say and be recognised for the social god/goddesses that should be worshipped by all in earshot. A little preachy, but hey it's a good reason.)

People want someone else to fight (I assume they want to re-enact Independence Day.)

Heck, it's a lot of space, it would be really dismal if we were the only rock to have loads of groups of atoms conveniently arranged to have that little quirk known as life. Or in simple terms there is too much space for us to be the only ones living in it.

People believe that alien exist because it is not logical that in a universe this size we would be the only ones.
DNA is a chemical composition that would emerge under the proper circumstances.
Time would be the factor that would eventually result in life, then intelligent and technological societies like us.

Because it is highly unlikey that we are the only life in the universe (we're not that special). Also, many scientists believe that the building blocks for life on Earth were brought here by a commet, that originated on another planet, far away in the universe.

Statistically, it is near certain that there is life out there somewhere, but the universe is a big place, and so we may never find it.

The universe is a big and strange place, and it's still expanding so if it was possible for certain chemicals to react and join together on earth and create life, it's possible somewhere else. Intelligent or not life is possible to exist on other planets like one of Saturn's moon's Europa. And it is believed that there was living bacteria on mars before our first viking mission rover landed on mars 30 years ago.

Your command of English suggests that you may be an alien...

Essentially though, despite there being approximately 6billion people on this planet, some believe that we cannot be the only planet in the entire milky way galaxy, never mind the whole universe, that is occupied with lifeforms including intelligent lifeforms.

I guess it stems from their own need to think that even if there is nobody here on Earth for them maybe out there in soace there is someone or something for them to make their lives complete.

Personally I don't believe in aliens because no proof exists but I also believe it is arrogant from humankind to believe that it is alone in having intelligent life on its own planet.

Life is out there no doubt. space is so vast so old, and we live on an relatively young planet. I do believe we have been visited in the past but most of the sightings are just bollocks and crop circles are work of the bored humans.
Needless to say we are just 100years away from super fast space travel ourselves.
