The creation stories in Genesis were written by human poets who had no concept of how the universe is actually put together; therefore, they have no connection with cosmological reality--they are literature only.

After accepting that, notice that it is not god that is speaking in Genesis. The stories are told by a narrator, who occasionally describes a concept of what god said.

Finally, the truth is that we have no idea in what order these things came into being. Lots of possibilities, and maybe some coalescing ideas, but no real hard data yet.

Well, scientifically MATTER or MASS always existed. Time and SPACE always existed, except in different forms.

CURRENT time and space came into existance with the Big Bang, which was postulated by a Catholic Priest who was a Physicist.

As to WHO created all this, there is a sharp division between those who believe GOD made it happen and those who believe is was purely ACCIDENTAL.

No. Matter existed an instant before time since time is another term for distance or space of one dimension.

Matter needs space in which to be. Space is the lack of matter. So there has to be something to not-be in space to make it space.

Keep in mind that the Judeo-Christian holy book was invented and written by humans who didn't understand anything about astronomy or physics. It has only the most tenuous connection with reality.

Asking a question like "did TIME come into existence at this TIME" is inherently meaningless.

God created everything (including"nothing") .Forget what was written. That is man's interpretation.Nothing else matters.
You don't even have to read the Bible to understand God.I think the Bible actually makes it harder to decipher God .

Genesis is a collection of myths. That is all it is and all it ever was. Anyone who tells you different is a liar.
