Besides Tri-Chem, which is still sold at home parties (I did this too, in the 70s), there were a few other companies that sold ballpoint paints...Vogart and Herrschners come to mind...Herrschners still sells it in thier catalogs.

Tri-Chem reformulated their main paints several years ago and now they are waterbased instead of oils. They also have several different tips for special purposes. You could/can use these paints either with the ballpoint tip on the tube or with brushes. The oil based paints were extremely durable...the fabric usually wore out before the paints. I still have articles painted with Tri-Chem from the 70s and they look as good as new.

An oil based paint mixed with a fabric medium so it adheres, washes and wears better than slapping thick oil paint on a shirt (like house painters, their shirts are almost brittle after a days work), them packaged in a metal tube with a nylon cased ball point tip so the paint comes out like using a ball point pen.
You can unscrew the tips, soak in paint thinner if they dry up and the paint inside is still ready to use.

Boy! Tri- chem, does it bring back memories, I did not sell it,but enough to supply myself and alot of others, but I had a lot of fun with it and he other tube paint does not compare eith it. It was and is the best I think. You don't hear about it as much as we did in the 70;s. It was a big deal back then and I had them for a long time. that sure was fun to remember!!!
It also helped me get my nickname, sandistich
