I have one headlight on my car that keeps going out everytime I replace it. It rained two days ago, right after I changed it. My head light keeps filling with water, I think and its ruining the new light. How can I go about fixing it?

i would drill a hole to make a drain if it was not draining right after clearing the drain that was already there. b sure to check that its not going to damage anything when u drill. look under it for anything that might b hit. if it looks like u cant, try duct taping it to seal it wherever the water is getting into it. they have clear duct tape now.

Your headlight housing most likely has a crack. I had the same thing happen to my Tahoe. I drilled a hole in the bottom of my housing just like everyone else here is telling you to do. Everything is great, right? Not necessarily. It took me 3 $10 bulbs to find out that when they get hot the water hits them they tend to shatter. After you drill your hole you have to take the housing off (It's not as difficult as it seems, just a few screws should hold it on) and tip it upside down to get all the glass fragments out or when it rains again the glass will clog up your drain hole and you will find yourself replacing a bulb again.

I had that problem with one of my cars. My hubby put a hole in the bottom of the light so the water would drain out. Used an electric screw driver.

Drill a small hole at the lowest point of the headlight for the water to drain out.

That's I did and it works great.

drill a couple of small holes in the light at the very botton. Not on the front of the light but on the bottom

easy, take it to a mechanic that will not rip you off....OR, maybe you have a bad fender. try fixing the whole thing, if u cannot afford it like me, put tape all around it, there must be a whole or a crack somewhere...be creative!...but really, take it to a near mechanic that knows this stuff, or a car doctor...do car doctors exist?? hmmm....good luck!

if you know where it is cracked....try mending it with fish tank sealant.

u wouldnt have to take the headlight out if the crack is visible. just seal it from the outside. if the crack isn't visible, then you may have to replace it, or have someone help you.
