G'day mate :) but really i think its mainly a guy thing they would say it daily to their mates it is used its not just a gimmick

It is not an expression used much in the main cities of Australia except amongst labourers/manual workers, and with the older people. Young people unfortunately use too much Americanisms".
The expression is heard more in the country amongst all categories of people.
