The spider with the most toxic venom is the Brazilian Wandering Spider also known as the Banana Spider......It has a leg span of about 4-5 inches.......This spider, found in South America but not confined to Brazil (as it's name implies), not only has a highly toxic venom, it is extremely aggressive and does not think twice about biting a person who it feels is threatening it. It is called the Brazilian Wandering Spider because it was first discovered in Brazil and for the fact that it does not build a lair, or a web, but rather wanders the jungle floor hunting it's prey.
It's venom is a neurotoxin, meaning that it attacks the nervous system and will shut down vital organs. Amounts of as little as 0.00000021 oz. of it's venom is enough to kill a mouse.
Another spider that ranks too, is the Sydney Funnel Spider found in Australia.
Both of these spider's venom far overpowers those of the Black Widow and the Brown Recluse. Most fatalites caused by these spiders are in the very young, the very old, or those in which the venom causes an allergic reaction. Most Black Widow bites are no more dangerous than a few bee stings.
As far as the Daddy Long-leg myth......It is just that a myth. Actually what most people refer to as Daddy Long-legs are not true spiders. They only have one body segment in which its eight legs are attatched, while spiders have two in which it's legs are attached to the forward body section. They only have two eyes, not the eight that is found in most true spiders. It is also known as a Harvestman. This creature does not have fangs or venom glands. It lives under logs or in damp places and is opportunistic hunter, feeding on dead plants and rotting animal matter. However, there is another creature called a Daddy Long-leg Spider. This is a true spider, and it is venomous, but it's venom usually results in a reddish area and an itch. It has never been linked to any human fatalities.
Hope this helps!!!!!

The most venomous can be toss up between the Brazilian wandering spider and the Syndey funnel-web spiders, as well as any member of the black widow spider family
IT IS NOT THE DADDY LONLEGS. The daddylonglegs that is a true spider, its venom is very weak and has no serious effects on humans. Studies shows its venom has a weak effects on insects as well. So its highly unlikely its the most venomous spider.
The other daddylonglegs that is an arachnid, but not a true spider, is called the harvestman. They have no venom whatsoever. So you can cross this one out as being the most venomous spider.
Here is some info about spider bites

Chahn is quite right - most people would rank the two he mentions (Phoneutria - Brazilian Wandering Spider - and the Sydney Funnel-Web (Atrax robustus)) as the two most deadly in the world. There are a bunch of other funnelwebs in Australia, but the Sydney gets all the press. They combine highly potent (against humans) venom with a high level of aggression, unlike both Widows and Recluses, which are both much less toxic and much less aggressive. One of the sicariid spiders of South Africa (6-eyed sand spider is one name) is reputed to have the most deadly venom known, but how true that is, I can't say.

The Black widow bite is mild, something like a bee sting, irritating and nothing more unless you are allergic.
The worse bite is the Brown Recluse spider. It has a necrototoxin in its bite that causes severe tissue damage that continues without stop. The affected tissue has to be cut out to stop the damage from spreading.

Some one once told me that the common house spider the Daddy Long-leg is one of the most venomous spiders in the world but they don't have the ability to bite humans. I'm not sure if is is the most venomous but I thought it was interesting.

I'm going with limber 1, I think the Daddy Long-Legged is but I'm not sure. You would think it would be a exotic spider, but everyone is saying the black widow or brown recluse, both are kinda common.
