The Ramones were great. Some people criticize them for not being punk enough. Wrong, they brought recognition to punk music getting more exposure for some of the hardcore bands that they never would have seen otherwise. Besides a lot of punk was just noise. They made music.

I like many forms of music from Jazz to Punk, and I think The Ramones are a great band. They don't suck, they've just widdled their music down to a simpler form, and that's a good thing in my opinion.
