I only do it for special people... but for others, I don't... I really don't see the point in talking to a thing that records your voice... it's odd to me!

I never really understand why some people don't like it, but you are NOT alone. Alot of people feel that way, but I've run across more males than females who hate using ans machs/voice mails. I ALWAYS leave a message, and sometimes they're way too long. I'm kinda notorious (w/family & friends only, though) for leaving long, silly messages--that sometimes make them laugh. Sometimes I sing, do voices, just be clownin' on they answering machine. I just want the person to know why I called, even if I didn't want anything important or just called to chat. I'm like the people who carved their names in trees--let somebody know I was here!

I love to leave messages and I get creative, I'll say hello hello, you called me and now you arent going to say anything okay byeeeeeee lol that is one of the nicer ones lol I think the special folks just wait for me to leave message so they can hear what new I have left so they can call me back lol

I HATE leaving voice messages. I find tham dumb as well. If someone sees that they missed your call, they will probably just call you back anyway. Unless the message is really important, I won't. I'd just call back later, because sometimes people do not even check them.

Yeah, I agree, it's odd... it's even weirder when you hear it yourself lol... I never know exactly what to say, so I only leave a message if it is very important for me to speak with that person.

I don't unless it's important...or it's a close friend,relative or boyfriend.Even then I don't do it all the time.I find it VERY annoying when people leave several messages on my phone"just saying they called"I have caller I.D.!! I KNOW YOU CALLED!!!

i usually dont...only if i kno the other person has a caller ID because if they do, they will be able to see that i called, therefore there is no need to leave a message

Most of the time I don't. I don't like talking to something that doesn't talk back unless it's something where I didn't feel like talking to that person in the first place.
