Well, here's how I see it. I'm only 27 but have been thinking steadily about my mortality for the last 4 years or so, especially after I hit 25.

Unless there are major (almost science fiction-like medical advances) for example, no more Alzheimer's, replication of your own organs and bones (through stem cell research and such), and maintaining the physical and mental ability of a 40 year old at 70, 80, 90 or beyond, I wouldn't want to be around too long.

Now to the point. If the above does not happen, I would hope to pass of a heart attack, in my sleep, at the age of 65. It would be a painless death and I would be gone before likely losing the ability to do the things I love.
