Goodfellas.Godfather is too slow for my taste

Without Godfather, there is no Goodfellas. The Godfather is the standard, much like Scarface, that paved the way. The Departed is a recent example of movies that homage the earlier works.

they were both great mafia movies but i have to say the godfather and i'll give you my reasons the godfather is a movie classic and goodfellas was great and all but it came out in 1990 which can't really be a classic yet also according to afi 10th anniversery the godfather being at number 2 and goodfellas being number 92

The Godfather hands down, All star cast, Amazing story, and the acting is top notch. Not putting down Goodfellas tho, that was a masterpiece too.

OHMYGOSH
TOTALLY Godfather! One and 2..never EVER three.
It's amaing on so many levels. It's got a beautiful soundtrack, amazing acting, an incredible story and a SEQEL! How can you find fault with it?
I like Goodfellas too, but it's not as serious or as well done as Godfather. But then what movie is I ask you!
Go to the mattresses!

Tough call on that one. My personal favorite is Goodfella's. Don't forget about Sergio Leone's Once Upon A Time In America. Great movie that ranks right of there with the best of them.

hmmm, godfather is a great movie and has more detailed storyline and is a classic no dout. but goodfellas is also a great movie and i love the characters in that movie, great storyline also but if i had to choose i would rather sit and watch goodfellas, its one of my favorites
