I kinda like eMail, but I still use the phone to call my Cousin. And when my PC is down, I sure was thinking about calling my friends.

It demands on who the person is. If it's a close friend, then I would rather call them on the phone to communicate with them( but nowadays my friends and I actually use multiple texts to have conversations). But if it was anyone else, and I could opt to send them an email, I would.

Send e-mail when it isn't personal,
phone conversations are better if you want to get the sarcasm or sincerity of some comments

Call them. "E-mail is for geeks and paedophiles, Ronald".
(That's off Cruel Intentions, in case anybody was wondering).
