No matter how cold the water is, it always feels like a furnace when I get out.

Outside of the shower is all of the steam from your shower, cold water can still produce steam and steam is hot, even steam from cold water, and when it condenses on your skin it will make you feel warmer (opposite of sweating which would make you cooler).

People that feel cold when they get out of their shower have an open bathroom so steam doesn't collect and when they get out they have water on their skin which acts like sweat. It evaporates which lowers their temperature so they feel cold.

It is the steam.. no evaporation Due to 99.999 % humidity. You cannot gain cooling in a room wih a HOT shower.. Plus breathing in the hot steamy air keeps your temp high..
In a room with good air circulation aka the fan on or after taking a cooler shower, the effect is not there or as nearly pronounced.
Whe nthe water is set to it's coldest, you have the inverse affect whree you are cooler than the surrounding air and then feel warm..
(I can't say I would call it a furnace.)

First, you should determine if it is actually hotter when you get out. Suspend a thermometer in the air in your bathroom. Read the temperature, take a cold shower, then read it again. If it hasn't changed or has gone down, you'll know it's a misperception.

Humans are notoriously bad at determining temperature. We can't actually measure temperature. We can only measure the rate at which our skin gains or loses heat. If we touch 0-degree metal, it will feel colder than 0-degree plastic, despite being the same temperature.
