I dont want to blow 60 bucks on a controller that'll only be used every once in a while. What i'm asking is what games for 2 player need a nunchuk and can I get away with not having it

The nunchuk comes separate from the Wii remote. However not every game requires it. If you look in the upper right hand corner on the back of a game, you will see a box. Inside you will see a Wii controller. The number in it tells you the maximum number of controllers the game can handle. If you see a nunchuk there, it means the game supports the nunchuck. This does NOT mean you have to have it though. For example, Warioware: Smooth Moves has the symbol, but only a small optional section of the game needs it.

You will need to check what games you will be playing.

The Wii Sports boxing will require the second nunchuck. Aside from that, you will need to check the games requirements to see if they need the nunchuk.

You can always just buy the remote, and buy the nunchuk later if you decide you need it.

We have managed without a second controller and we have had the Wii since the release date, we just take turns, I think the remotes and nunchucks are very expensive, but with the console being so cheap, I suppose they have to make their money somewhere!

I only have one. If you like, you might want to buy the Wii Play (I believe that's the title) game. It gives you a free remote, so then you get a "2 for 1 deal", if you will.

Only if there will be 2 people playing. If there was only you, you will only need the one remote and nunchuck. I have two of each just incase if someone else wanted to play against me in a game.
