I haven't paid much attention to politics in my life, but I want to get informed. My main interest right now is to learn about all the possible presidential candidates and where they stand on all the major issues. It would be so helpful if there was just one website that outlined this for me, and was geared for people who don't know a ton about politics but want to learn. Is there such a website, and if not, where should I start if I want to get more familiar with this subject?

There are websites like this that can help you out

I think it's a good idea to start there and then take it from there to the candidates personal pages. However always realize every candidates own page is pure propaganda of course.

look around here, everything is really factual....Ok, that was a joke but seriously, go to a variety of news outlets like CNN and Fox and MSNBC to get a variety of different insights, go to the individual candidates websites and then choose what you believe, no news is fair and balanced so looking through a variety will help, the only people who would suggest Fox and balanced are people with mental ailments, but it's good to get their side of the story in order to have all the information, I just don't like the lie that they don't lean right

at the bottom it has a list of the candidates... you can look over them... and each candidate has a page

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_presidential_election%2C_2008

THEN... at the bottom of each candidate's page... there is most likely a link to that candidates web site if you would like to learn more...

also the debates are probably in video online somewhere too... that would also be good

I'm a fan of Fox News because they're fair and impartial unlike all of the other major news outlets, so, that's a huge source of info for me. Here's the link:

The LAST place to go is Fox news. No one even considers them in the mainstream media they lie so much! They aren't a news source, they are a propaganda network!

CNN uses WMUR News, a conservative TV station. The other main source for them is the Manchester Union Leader, the main newspaper in NH which was controlled by William Loeb, and then his wife after his death! They are about as far right-wing as you can get!

One can hardly claim they have a liberal bent! Remember what Loeb did to McGovern?
