How many days past ovulation do you have to wait to take a EPT?

at least wait till your period is missed. The box says you can take it 5 days before your missed period but that is not 100% and you might get a false negative.

It is best to take one only 3 days before your missed period for the most accurate result. But personally I took the clear blue digital test when i was TTC and i waited until 2 weeks after my late period, because I wanted the for sure results, and well it came up positive, because obviously I was 2 weeks late.

If you get one of the early predictors, then 10 days after ovulation. The accuracy increases with each passing day after that, so don't be discouraged if it is negative at first.
