People who do not believe in God move downward, not upward.

People who have faith in themselves and their ability to achieve their goals are more successful than those who have negative images of themselves or low self-esteem. There's an old expression, "God helps those who help themselves." Don't expect to be singled out for success because of your faith. Just look around at all the suffering in this world. The people praying for justice are people of faith who will never get what they're praying for.

I believe there is. However the link is not related to a religious theory. I have confidence in my ability to successfully achieve the intended goal(s) of my ambitions. My confidence is not "faith" reinforced. It is the result of my effort to attain data that contributes to the success of my intent.

Faith to me is a foolhardy "virtue". If you truly believe in God, do you think that God gave you the gift to think and reason and then wanted you not to use it. I seriously doubt it. Who is to say that God didn't cause the Big Bang, that God didn't shape evolution. Who is to say that 7 days to God is what we consider 7 days. 7 days to God could be 100 million years to us.

What I am saying is that God created science, he created all the laws by which the universe operates. So if you want to progress farther along, we should learn all we can about everything God has created. I'm sure in his divine wisdom, he didn't make anything that was unimportant.

I see no evidence of this myself, I can find examples of atheists and religious people who are high achievers and low achievers or failures. I think it comes down to self-image, outlook on life and perseverance.
