Israel was given a piece of land by the UK and shortly thereafter and to the surprise of many the tiny placve had what is called the 6 day war - They occupied the other state of Palistine - That was called an ilegal occupation 40 years ago -
Israel is still in full force occupation of that land
Now before the creation of Israel there was a Jewish minority in the land - they all seemed to get along (at least a lot better than they do now ) No they were not arm in arm singing songs but better
Now Israel has done a lot of work on the land - Made mass improvements in a short time. The landscape of the geography is vastly differnet and better than it was
The "war " that the Palistinians lost in less than 6 days - has set the population at each others throats - it has gotten worse and worse
In truth the Palisitians have been horrible negotiators on their own behalf - often fighting battles they can't win and hardening the Israeli stance -at best stupid on the Pal part

Israel's response has been brutal -
Most of the Pal's in jail have been tortured and have no charges laid against them They will never get a trial
The Pal's have resonded by killing Israeli's with what they had
The situation continues to get worse
Israel has won both the worlds opinion in the west and the battle at home
That does not exscuse them for provoking or torturing or refuseing due process of law
They ocupy as the Naxis did with the same feeling that the Pal'sare sub human -
The feelings are mutual on both sides
One people - is completely stateless and oppressed
The other faces terror attacks becuase of torture and ilegal occupation
SO what do we do ?
What suggestions do you have for both sides to "win"

Your mix of the boble into history is odd at best -
Your belief that one side of this equation is completely in the wrong "crazies" is also a point of concern
It is easy to follow some of the overwhelming propaganda I am sure but the idea that half of the problem here is completely wrong is short sighted at best outrightly bigoted by misinformation and hate at worst

Right now the US and Israel are friends ]
Ever try to live with a friend ?
Somtimes buds should not be roomates
But - it can't be worse than they have now I am sure

Actually the solution is very simple...International law says that Israeli occupation of the West Bank,Gaza and the Golan Heights is illegal and that Israel should withdraw to the borders from before the six day war...So all they have to do is apply the law ...Israel should withdraw from the occupied territories, recognise Palestinians right to exist and their right to an independent state...Create a Palestinian state in the borders from 1967 and then solve the refugees problem...

Just to correct some of your "facts"
Israel was given a piece of land though the UN by the UK, on the day of its Independence it was attacked by five Arab nations.
During after the war the areas of the West bank and Gaza were occupied by Jordan and Egypt respectively. This area that was set aside to be a Pal state was never done so.
In 1967 when those same states tried to destroy Israel again they were pushed back and Israel captured the West Bank and Gaza.
Before the creation of the state of Israel their were dozens of attacks on Jews living on land they legally bought from other Arabs. Hundreds of civilians were killed by Arab mobs. You call that better?
The only reason Israel had an army in 48' was that these same troops were responsible for their comunies self defense against their neighbors
Please read some history. This started over 60 years before the six day war.

As usual, Dina W spews her racist anti-Arab vomit on the forum without any real answer to the question. Israel is a state made in the U.S.A. without funding, the landscaping would not exist, and the Israeli's would not even want to live there!! Why did the emigrate in the first place to European countries, where they mixed their gene pool and came out blue eyed. Palestinians and Jews come from the same ancestry, they are both Semitic.
Britain allowed Jews to have a part of PALESTINE AND CALLED IT Israel. by night, the Jews sneak in, after Britain told them to stop, as did the U.N. They continued to emigrate in boats in the middle of the night to Palestine, and the Arabs complained, and the U.N warned them again, to stop emigrating. The Jews continued to go in great numbers, there is power in numbers. the rest is history.
That my friends, is exactly how Israel was started. Now, they are there, we can't very well make them leave. So, the answer is to get back behind the 1948 border, and stay there.

Your understanding of history is dangerously bad. Abraham first brought the words of God to the area now called Israel. The Hebrew faith developed and flourished. Jesus was born and then came Christianity. The muslims did not develop their religion until 4 or 5 hundred years after Jesus. The Jews had the land for thousands of years before Jesus. The muslims spread their religion at the points of their swords. It was either convert or die.
The United Nations, not UK, ceded the land of Israel to the Jews after WWII.
Ever since modern Israel was formed, the Israelies have been fighting for their country and their lives. The muslim crazies are sworn enemies and have vowed to kill all of the Jews and take over Israel.
The people of Israel have a right to defend themselves. The muslim crazies are wrong in their efforts.
There never was a country called Palestine. Now the muslim crazies are fighting and killing each other. Open your eyes and you will see where the problem lies.

There were 19 years between Israel being founded and the Six- Day War - which was not a war against Palestinians, it was a war (defensive, by the way) against Egypt, Syria, and Jordan. Gaza was Egyptian territory, West Bank was Jordanian, and Golan Heights was Syrian. The Palestinians had no self-determination under those governments either.
But something does have to be done to bring peace and coexistence there.

Here's the best practical suggestion: Learn some history instead of relying on propaganda!
For instance, your statement: "they occupied the other state of Palestine" after the six day war, is false. The West Bank was occupied by Jordan and the Gaza by Egypt. There was no state of Palestine. Are you going to condemn Egypt and Jordan for occupying Palestinian land? If so, you'd be the first one.
And your other statement; "The "war " that the Palistinians lost in less than 6 days " (why the scare quotes? Are you denying that it was really a war?) is also false. For the record, it was various Arab nations vs. Israel, none of them Palestinian. Egypt, Jordan, and Syria were principal players. It was their war to lose, and lose it they did.

It was Great Britain, the person ripping your lack of "education" needs to acquire one.
Saying it was the UN, not Great Britain, is like saying Iraq is a UN war, not an American one
The United States and Great Britain did not want a huge influx of Jews, so they dumped them on the powerless Palestinians.
The whole Israel debacle is based on land stealing and racism. We never considered the Palestinians as people, thus we did not acknowledge their rights as human beings....we barely do today
Israel needs to be dissolved and the land returned to those from which it was stolen.
The Israeli people should be welcomed in the United States
and Great Britain......those who created the problem have an obligation to fix it.

that's abode. that's purely the way it feels to Jewish people everywhere. additionally there mandatory to be state the place Jews would desire to be risk-free & shield themselves. Israel is an earthly democracy yet does supply this in the only place in the international the place the typical public is Jewish. It became into barren somewhat lived in piece of land that became into uninhabitable without aspects which no person plenty theory approximately. [ different than it gets in the way of the greater desirable Arab empire dream of establishing one in the middle East - and right here comes this little sliver of their way of non-Muslims with self-rule. ] So, it became right into a smart place to construct a rustic...and Jews already lived there & it already became into abode. we've been praying next 12 months in Jerusalem for 2000 years. it rather is unquestionably thrilling to get off a airplane after residing in different usa & for the 1st time be able the place loads of folk are Jewish & the trip journeys are ones you share & for basically a quick time there's a alleviation from that have of being "a minority." i think of African individuals talked that way approximately their first journeys to Africa.

Let's start at the 6 day war. If the Arab countries did not want the destruction of Israel it would never have happened.
That was the Arab's fault.
Number two, the Jewish people have been kicked out of every N. African country, and to date there are 46 predominately Muslim countries to 1 Jewish state.
Religion,,, well we all know that the Jewish people are from Israel, and that "Allah" never mentions Jerusalem in the Koran.
The Muslims simply dislike the Jewish people, and do not want them around period.
How can anyone argue other wise, it has been proved time and time again.
I do not know what is going to happen in the future, but I believe Israel has every right to exist, and I wish that their Muslim neighbors would simply except Israel existence.

Practical?-what did you say except making a post-game assertion taking the Palestinian's POV-and you don't even have a grasp of history.
the UK didn't own anything to give..it was the UN in one of it's first acts
Great Britain could have blocked it-being a Security veto-empowered country.
but colonial influence was over or dwindling in the world
everyone should take responsibility or shut-up about it.
