Some of my friends say that dinosaurs never existed but there's physical proof. Dinosaurs had to come after because there was nothing before Adam and Eve. But dinosaurs came before people. So who really did come first.

I published an article about the age of the Earth a couple years ago. While it's not a direct answer to your question, the answer is within the article.

Here's part of the opening paragraph and a link to the rest.

The debate over the age of the earth has been building since geologists first started dating rock strata and Darwin introduced us to the concept of evolution. Whether it's billions of years old or only a few thousand is a topic that seems to be impossible to come to an agreement on. Most people believe one or the other, completely ignoring all evidence contrary to their beliefs. A few attempts have been made to reconcile the two but rebuttals to the arguments seem to come faster than the theories themselves. I believe the answer to this question lies right there in the first chapter of Genesis and one need only look to the original Hebrew scriptures. "Old earthers" rely on science while ignoring the Bible and "young earthers" blindly stick to the King James Version of the bible while ignoring science. The keys to unlocking this mystery require first, an open mind, and second, a look at what was originally written about creation.

If you believe Adam and Eve were the first living creatures then you shouldn't bother wasting your time thinking about questions like this. Adam and Eve are characters in a story - they were not real people, and were certainly not the first living creatures.

The last dinosaurs died out about 65 million years ago -- humans didn't come into the picture until about a couple hundred thousand years ago. Our genus (Homo) first appeared about 1-2 million years ago...

If you go by the fossil record (which makes more sense to me than something that was written by a person that didn't have the least bit of scientific knowledge), you have to accept that humans did not exist when the dinosaurs were alive.

The difficulty comes from the fact that Adam and Eve are a figment of an ancient mythological/religious tradition and not in any way verified by anthropology.
Your friends are mindless religious rubes, (or children...let's give them the benefit of the doubt.) You, on the other hand, seem to be a rational, thinking person. You're right. It doesn't make any sense. So in a nutshell, here's what constitutes the overwhelming scientific opinion.
Humans have existed as a genus for about 4 million years. This could be argued mainly on taxonomic grounds. IOW, could h. Australopithecus be incorrectly placed in that genus? Our species, h. sapiens sapiens came into existence perhaps 80,000 to 120,000 years ago. The most recent common ancestors of all modern humans probably lived about 40,000 years ago, and were NOT the Adam and Eve of the bible.

Dinosaurs became extinct about 65 million years ago. That was long before anything even remotely like humans existed. They and their reptilian ancestors enjoyed dominance on this planet for over two hundred million years.

If you want to know, study science. If you want to go along with the religious crowd and be ignorant of the facts, study the bible. Sorry, but dem's da facts.

The bible says that the world was created in six days and God rested on the seventh day. There are people who believe in a concept called ‘intelligent design’ that take the seven days this literally. There is even a portion of this group that believes that man and dinosaurs coexisted but there is an abundant amount of scientific evidence that proves otherwise. These individuals believe that the world is only 10,000+ years old.
Dinosaurs existed until about two hundred million years ago when the entire population suddenly became extinct. The most accepted theory is that their extinction was due to a meteor impact so intense that it sent the world into an ice age. Man, on the other hand has existed for approximately 10,000 years as we know him. People who believe in ‘intelligent design’ do not believe that people evolved and although the missing link has never been discovered there is a lot of convincing evidence of prehistoric man walking upright and using tools and one of these groups are our ancestors.
I’m not talking down religion but the thing about religion is it’s a belief system and in a belief system ideas are handed down from generation to generation and a lot of the things cannot be proved or disproved. However in the world of science there are a lot of things that can be proved. Ultimately you will make your own decisions on such matters but it’s important that you do so in an educated way. What I’m saying is read all you can on subjects such as the bible, evolution, dinosaurs, space, physics and even carbon dating. To be honest with you I have done a lot of research in the field of physics and there are certain things that I do not agree with so there maybe things that you may also find yourself disagreeing with.
Albert Einstein said it best.
Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind."

If you carefully read the Bible you will see that when Cain
was thrown out of Eden he went to the land of Nod and married a woman.

There are other passages about Animals being created before Man.

The most basic differentiation is that God made Adam and Eve and told Adam to name all the animals because he could speak.

The story of Adam and Eve comes from the event in history where man or cave-man as we sometimes call them
became able to speak. There is no reason to believe that
the parents unable to speak werent able to comprehend.

However Creationists insist God directly created Adam and Eve and they misquote their own Bible as to occupants of the earth at the time.

Dinosaurs did exist and a few still do.

The simple fact is the Universe itself proves the existance of God. Someone had to had to the math when it was just nothing. No matter no energy no time.
God took 1 (Himself) from nothing and the Universe is what was left . Yes it went BANG.
God is the only one to ever show someone Minus 1 apple.
its sorta big aint it?

Well... we know that dinosaurs were living on this planet ... I don't believe that Adam and Eva were first but I will answer on your question ... Your answer is water... First living creatures were small things like bacterias and all those living creature that are hard to see...Then a lot years after, those living creatures started with making bigger creatures... Then there were those fishes that could get out from water and I think that those fishes could breathe a bit... but not long and thats how everything started... of course there are plants ... without plants those fishes wouldnt be able to breath ... so probably first were plants....

Adam and Eve were not the first living creatures. Not that I believe in Creationism, but even your own Bible says that the creatures of the sea and the animals were created on the fifth and sixth days, so they came before humans. Go look.
As for me, I still say the first living creatures on Earth were little single-celled critters floating around in a puddle of watery goo....

dinosaurs came first (hundreds of millions of years ago, while humans first existed hundreds of thousands of years ago). Science has proven dinosaurs existed, and also that humans evolved from other species.
Your friends must have been indoctrinated by religion if they believe 2 humans were the first creatures ever, or that dinosaurs never existed. Look at scientific proof then make up your own mind.
(nb. dont mean to 'bash' religion - i do believe in god, i am just bashing religious fundamentalists who take teachings too literally even if science proves otherwise.)

Adam and Eve *may* have been real but they were a) not the first people and b) mostly an illustration about what happens when one does not obey God's will.

I believe in God as the creator God but you need to be careful about putting all your faith into the Bible. Its a good guide about how we should live but remember it was written by men and men are fallible. No matter how inspired by God they may have been they could still misunderstand God and be subject to their own mistakes and prejudices. So be a good person, treat others well, have faith in a powerful God and take the Bible with a grain of salt.
