I think that in about two years the rest of the SEC will catch up to his (HIGH SCHOOL OFFENSE) and Florida will return to the middle of the SEC with teams like BAMA and MISS......

First off, it's been a long time since Florida's been a "middle of the SEC" team. Secondly, Meyer's been successful wherever he has gone, so I dare say he will have more tricks up his sleeve. Besides, if you get the best athletes, it's tough to stop an offense when you can't catch it.

Problem he will have this year is that Tebow's not as good as Leak.

Urban Meyers is a great coach and if doesn't head to the NFL (which I don't think he will) he will have quite a few NCs when it's all said and done. It's stupid to doubt his longevity because he runs a lot of trick plays. How about a defense that ranked 6th in points allowed per game? How about his first recruiting class ranking #2 and than this year's ranking #1 (according to Rivals.com)? Meyers has a lot more going for him than just trick plays.

How can you say that Urban Meyer is a joke when he just won a championship?

urban meyer a joke? I LAUGH AT THAT!!! for one urban has 2 years where he took teams that wasnt considerd for national ranking and made them a powerhouse.... lets remind u that it was urban that took utah football to where it was 2 years ago... then he comes to florida and wins a champioship and u call that man a joke...... the joke is actually on ohio state...they got a heisman winning qb and got stomped in the national championship game last year! and to top it off ohio state had a whole week to prepare for my GATORS and came up way short..then they complained that the didnt have enough time... or said it was a fluke cause ted ginn jr got hurt and didnt play the rest of the game... get used to it urban is for real and he has more to come..... GO GATORS!!!!!!!!

you're wrong. the spread option works because you have an option no matter what the defense does. the fact that now he has as much talent as just about any team in the country means that he can run it better. no other team ever figured the offense. you might think that teams would have caught up with the fun 'n gun too, but they didn't. part of that is because florida has better players than bama and miss, but also because they are better-coached. florida has bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter players than the rest of the SEC (except LSU), therefore their offense will work. there are too many options out of the offense. just because it involves a lot of trick plays and reverses and stuff doesn't mean it can't be effective

His High School Offense just won the championship!!! So what team do u like that could'nt beat out a HS offense? And to the one guy talking about OSU they complained it was to long between games so the teams are'nt in regular season form, which I agree but that door swings both ways and excuses are weak. But it would've been nice to see what Ginn could do over the whole game because he had quite a history of dominating bowl games!! They still would've lost with those big pansies tryin to block the Gators line!!

I don't like Florida but I do think they have a good coach. I do think he is about as dirty and unethical as they come though. It was kind of suspicious how that defensive lineman they had last year who failed his drug test early in the year didn't get suspended till they went through the bulk of that hard schedule and played Vanderbilt near the end of they year. You also have to wonder how he managed to recruit 2 five star quarterbacks this year, with Tebo there in his second year. I am guessing the NCAA will catch up to them before too long.

I used to until he came out in a press conference and lobbied for people to stop making fun of him.

While we're on the topic of Urban Meyer, anyone else think that he wets himself during press conferences besides me?

Florida hasn't been in the middle of the SEC for some time now,SEC coaches are not behind him.I mean they have seen it all it.s not like it's new to them.Florida,s defense wasn't that bad either.
