I have a very basic site that i pay for and did myself but would love for someone that knows what they are doing and have the time to jaz it up for me

Why not get a pre-made script (see http://www.hostkb.com) - then get a pre-made theme for it.
Most scripts at HostKB can be installed using the web based installer offered to H9 clients:
