I have actually been guilty of verbal abuse in the past. Over 13 years ago. I have and I will never lay a hand on her to harm her in any way. I have taken verbal abuse from her in the past also along with kicking, punching and even spitting on me. We talked about it and stopped the abuse cold turkey. We did end up getting a divorce several months later but got back together a year after that. So far so good.

Absolutely.

Verbal abuse can be just as damaging as physical abuse. What makes it worse is that bruises go away after a couple of weeks but damaging, hurtful, abusive comments can get into your head and stay there.

An abuser would probably think that they are not doing anything wrong because they are not hitting you anymore, but the courts would say differently.

Take care of yourself.
