I'll play devil's advocate. Casablanca, to me, is an overblown B movie which has an undeserved reputation as a classic. After all, the original stars were going to be Ronald Reagan and Ann Sheridan. Does this sound as if the studio had high expectations?

Alls I can say is GREATEST LOVE STORY OF ALL TIME!! There is a huge generational gap between now and the time that movie was made but it is one of the movies that started hollywood, made it what it is and gave a name to actors and actresses. Humphry Bogard is phenominal and he is what true acting should be, ACTING!! Not like these materialistic show offs you see on screne today!! Not that they're ALL bad, there are some great movies out there today, but for the most part, I feel Hollywood has lost its touch. Too much drugs, alcohol and hunger for fame and money ruined it for me. I love that movie tho, I own it!!
