Venus, I've never been to Florida, but I would imagine things are pretty expensive there!! With all of the fancy smancy Gorgeous places to go, and there speed boat races, with the most expensive boats there are out there!! The "Marlboro" speed boat is thee very Best one can buy!! They also make them in Florida!! Plus they have the "Keys" and it all just sounds so fun, but very extravagant at the same time!! I'm a California Girl, born and raised!! And you can have the "Best of Both" worlds, in Cal....There's so many places, cities, in which restaurant's can be very reasonably priced, then you also have like all of the southern beaches, that are very high priced for only the wealthy!!! Some of the best beaches, to go too, if you want to have lots of fun and have the moola to do it, is: Laguna, Manhattan, Huntington, Newport, Seal all beaches, with alot of young people who are very friendly and there are always lots of parties, or clubs to go too, as well as eatery's!!! In Seal Beach, on Bay Street, there's so many places to shop or to club it, with lots of good eats, while your having cocktails.... Then, in Newport beach you can rent a small boat, or jet ski's, and go out for a ride in the Lagoon area's!! Which is alot of fun, if you have the $$$, that is!! In Long Beach,, where I'm from they've really cleaned it up since I last lived there in 1994!! You can go to the "Queen Mary" and its suppose to be Haunted!! Then they have right across from the Queen Mary, (which is a huge ocean liner, that is now cemented to the ocean floor), there's this huge Aquarium, to where you can see walls of fish, swimming around in the hallways!! And all of downtown has movie theatre's and tons of shopping !!! Then, you can go to "Shorline village" which is really cool !!! They have clubs, and restaurants, and the same street you will be driving on to get there, is called Shorline Drive, right, well that's where they have the "Grand Prix" car races on every year in April........ If you go over, the two bridges off of Ocean Blvd...... just follow it straight up and over to Gaffy street in San Pedro, and follow it up some really cool long wide hilly winding roads, until you get to a park called Point Fermin, you can park there, and this park is on a cliff !!! It is soooo cool and kick back!! And San Pedro, is right next door to Long Beach, and they also have their own seaport Village, to where you can buy clams,, with for sure pearls in them!! And they will even cut them open for you and put them in earrings or on a necklace or anything, for you "Jewelry wise". Then they have like a "Freshwater" kick-back restaurant, with just benches to buy and eat any kinds of fresh seafood you so desire!! This is the place, to where I had my first Shark-Steak at !!! And oh my gosh was it ever so good!! Deliscious!!! Okay, in Seal Beach, they have the jetty, to where people aren't supose to swim because its warm water, and this usually draws sharks, but we used to go swimming in it, actually skinny-dipping in it!! They have a really long walk, or ride bikes along the jetty, there in Seal Beach, and across from there is the little Port's-O-Call" for shopping and eating!!! That one is very kick back, too!!! Then, if you want to go too Northern California, you have San Francisco, Half Moon Bay, Yosemite National Forrest-where you can rent cabins, and check out the waterfalls, and the like.... If you take the Northern way there, you'll drive right through a little town I used to live in called Groveland, and it has all the "Old West" look's about it, in fact around this time they have "Old West Days" and during this time they have the whole town get's together and has little stands,,,to where they sell things, and a live band, and a Humungous Barbecue, and everyone drinks beer or whatever they choose while walking down the street or anywhere there!! And they have the original "Iron Door Saloon" from back in the old west days!! It is so cool !! Plus they have a "Bed & Breakfast" called: The Charlotte Hotel, and it's from back in the old west days too!! The buildings have been renovated but there all the original 1800 buildings.. They even have the old wooden sidewalks, and the poles, the people used to hang their horses ropes over to go into the stores, or saloon, and so on!! Up there, you can find little off road area's with the most Beautiful Natural waterfalls, and ponds, and streams, and just peacful places to picnic, and relax for a day!! There everywhere up there!!! California will always be home to me!! And there's so much to see and go too!! Just about everywhere South and North, that is!! Anything in the middle isn't much to do, or to see, like in the Fresno area!! I wouldn't want to go there for anything, when there's so many other Beautiful Places to go too!! Good Luck on your vacation, and if you choose Florida, just remember they do get Hurricanes around this time of year, and they have alot of crockodiles, and water moccasin snakes there, my daughter told me when she visited there!! That was the only thing she didn't like about it there!!! so, just remember that part when everyone starts to telling you how wonderful Florida is!!! Lots of foreigners from south america are over there, and I heard there's alot of thieving going on there too!! So just be careful while your at either states, to try not to look like a "Tourist" and to try not to ask people on the streets for directions unless your windows are rolled-up pretty good, and doors are locked, while your doing it!! Have tons of fun for me!! Smile!!!

I wouldn't say it's not enjoyable but it depends on what you can tolerate. Yes, it is hot, and humid. If you're okay in 90 degree weather with a little mist fan and sunscreen and a hat, you'll be fine. And yes, it rains, but it doesn't have some big storm every single day... often it'll rain for a while in the late afternoon... you bring a rain cape & some flip flops & just keep going though, really. It can be quite refreshing. I mean, it's the busiest time of year for Disney and people keep going back so I don't think it ruins the enjoyment. Yes, there is lightening, but whether it's going to be right over you or if it will get bad depends on the day. If the lightening makes you nervous, just go in a ride, shop or restaurant for a little bit till it stops. To me, the worst part about the summer is not even the heat, but the lines. I mean, people live here; we survive the lightening and the heat, so can you ;-) Look up park maps so you can see what they have, plan your routes, & your fast passes & stuff. Watch the vacation guides & look up vacation videos on youtube, they can be cool for planning. Best advice: stay at a Disney World resort; even a value resort. You get a much better experience, such as Extra Magic Hours. If you stay outside Disney you spend too much time in transit and you have to spend an extra $14 per day to get back in the parking lots anyway so it's not much of a savings. Late June is better than July.

I live in California, so I'd go to Florida! We have the original Disneyland, but FL has Disneyworld. It depends on your age and what your definition of "fun" is.
