my ecu light is on ,i have reset it but the errors codes are 1,cam senser now changed 2 pre cat senser ? 3 no 1 plug lead ? i dont think its the pre cat senser just passed a mot,and plug lead no misfire ,it runs a bit lumppy on tick-over when warm any ideas anyone-failure no answers i will have to take it to a bmw dealer

I would go for the most obvious and cheapest option first. You are likely to have a badly fowled spark plug.

Change that (since they're relatively cheap), and try again. I recommend to go with Bosch Platinum +4. Examine your old plugs to see if there're any telltale signs.

Take the spark plug out of no1 cyl and look at the condition.If the lead is faulty the plug should show signs of fouling up which would give an unacceptable reading by the cat sensor as over rich fuel enters the exhaust system

dont go to bmw just yet it could be coil pack failure or you need new plug leads which would cause 02 sensor fail cause of wrong emissions. take it to some where who has a snap on scanner with the appropriate updates to read the faults
