...I have seen the film; overall, it looks like someone put an impressionalble, new-age, slight supernatural slant on the old '70's study of the power of positive thinking; in fact, I believe there was a published book, called "The Power of Positive Thinking", as well.
Although I DID find the film, "The Secret" intriguing and compelling, and I'm sure the folks presented in the interviews featured in the film, were genuinely enthusiastic about the relevations they were speaking about, there's really nothing new presented here, which has not been covered before, in a much more sensible, and less fanatical fashion...
I'm of the inclination, and it's worked for me pretty much most of the time, that if you think positively, directly and analytically, then positive, direct and analytical solutions to your problems and desires will present themselves...
...in short, "The Secret" (both the film, as well as the book) approaches the 'power of positive thinking' philospohy in a very selfish and materialistic way (i.e., getting something for nothing, via seemingly mystic means; what's wrong with working for what you want???)
...to put it in the most simplest of terms, "Where There's a Will, There's a Way!!!"; there's nothing mystical or eclesiastic about it!!!

I find "The Secret" to be a mind expanding, challenging, life changing experience. I have watched it probably 25 time if I've watched it once and have shared it with many friends. It's great to have a "Secret" community, then everyone around you is more positive and more responsible for themselves.

I refuse to see it. I have been given it on DVD several times and will not watch it sounds like a load(of poop). Want some real enlightening material read/listen to work done by Don Miguel Ruiz, The Four Agreements, The Voice of Knowledge and The mastery of love. I consider myself an Atheist and believe in Karma this is some amazing touching work he has done.

I believe that we have the power to create good in our lives or the power to fail. It is up to us. It is easy to always blame someone else for our lives not being what we wish them to be. It is much harder to take responsibility and charge of our own lives. I have watched the secret and am working on it. Remember, it does not promise that everything changes overnight. All things, good and bad, take time. Do you want to be in charge of your life or just be a victim of circumstance?
It is up to you. It is easier to blame the world for our unhappiness than to realize we can control it.

I did like the movie, especially the fact that we should be responsible for our actions and for what happens to us.
I try to think of the law of attraction mostly for people. If people sense you are depressed, angry or longing to be left alone, they will probably not approach you. On the other hand, if other people sense that you are open, and positive-thinking, they might actually approach you. I seriously doubt it works for getting a parking space.
