Maybe 30 or 40 years ago, but not today. There is too much emphasis on offense these days.

Only if he is absolutely brilliant at fielding a difficult position (shortstop, center field, maybe even catcher), and is ready to sit on the bench a lot. Late-inning defensive replacement with the very occasional (rare, even) start is the best this man could hope for.

Yeah its easier to mold someone into a fielder than into a hitter.

Very slim - ML players can hit and field at your age. Also can run very well
