This was my first time taking the SATs. Are these score OK for me to get in to the University of Tennessee? What is my total score out of 2400?

check collegeboard or other college profile websites to see the average SAT scores of current students to see if you have a chance or not.

You should try to raise your scores to get into U of Tennessee. When I first took the SAT, my score was low in the mid 1700s but then I got the sat guide from guideparadise: http://www.guideparadise.com/index.php?option=com_guides&task=buy&id=10 and my score went up to 2190 (800 math, 760 writing, 630 reading). I highly recommend this guide for anyone wishing to get a higher SAT score.

Scores in the 400s are not good at any college. I would suggest trying to get your each of your scores at least into the mid-500s (like 550 or greater). The total is 1460.

Your total score is the reading, math, and writing added together - 1460.
Check UT's website and admissions criteria, and take the SATs again, after a prep course.
